‘CHANGE’ INSPIRES VERVE PORTRAITS’ EMPLOYEES TO CREATE AMAZING ARTWORKS FOR AUCTION

Verve Portraits hosts ‘VIVID’; an annual art exhibition for the KIDS Foundation

Children living with life-changing burns, injuries and trauma from around Australia will be the beneficiaries of an exhibition and auction to be held on Tuesday, June 26, thanks to a valued corporate partner Verve Portraits, says Dr Susie O’Neill, Managing Director and Founder of the KIDS Foundation.

Verve Portraits has been a tremendous supporter of the KIDS Foundation for many years and has raised $28,000 through its annual auction event, now in its fourth year. The art exhibition, VIVID, is a chance for Verve employees to showcase their own work, check out the art created by their peers and purchase exclusive artworks for charity. Knowing that their purchase on the night contributes to the KIDS Foundation achieving its goal of #buildingstronglives makes the event a particularly special one.

Dr O’Neill acknowledged that whilst the KIDS Foundation relies on valued corporate partners as a source of funding, creating mutual benefits for the partner organisation is equally important.

“Verve Portraits has raised substantial funds for KIDS which help us deliver a greater experience for young people who participate in our injury recovery programs. Over the years however, they have also provided volunteer photographers for our events and had life-changing experiences themselves as leaders and buddies to survivors at annual KIDS camps. This partnership has most definitely had a significant impact on both organisations.

“This year’s theme of ‘change’ is very apt given the physical and emotional change a burn survivor goes through. Matt Thiele is now 22 years of age and he attended his first camp at the age of 10. Since then, Matt has had more than 100 surgeries and is now a strapping young man who comes to camps as a group leader. He will be coming along to the VIVID exhibition and is looking forward to seeing the artworks” said Dr O’Neill.

Cheryl Lardner, Verve Portraits Director of Sales and Marketing, is eager to host the 4th VIVID art exhibition and expects the theme of ‘change’ to result in some wonderful, creative artworks.

“VIVID is a wonderful way for our employees to showcase their talents for such an incredibly worthy cause. The creativity of the team reaches beyond our photographers, everyone gets involved and the ingenuity of the work makes us all so proud. Additionally, this year, we have gifted the KIDS Foundation five key pieces of artwork to be auctioned online and we anticipate that these pieces will generate more interest and sell well” said Ms Lardner.

The 4th VIVID art exhibition will be held on Tuesday 26 June.
